[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jin-ho] Hong Joon-pyo, a presidential candidate from the People Power Party, directly targeted Lee Jae-myung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea, on the 17th, saying, "He is the main culprit of the Daejang-dong corruption and should go to prison, not the Blue House."
On the same day, Hong said through his SNS post, "The way candidates Lee and Yoon are biting and tearing each other apart over the Daejang-dong corruption is truly unpleasant."
Hong emphasized, "Attacking candidate Yoon based on rumors that are still mere speculation only proves that candidate Lee is in a desperate situation himself."
He added, "Nam Wook, the lawyer involved in designing the Daejang-dong corruption, is soon returning to Korea. Although it is hard to believe, I will watch closely to see whether the prosecution's investigation is a thorough one without any sanctuary."
