From Traditional Foods to Food Tech... 'Korea Food Expo' Opens on the 20th

[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs announced on the 17th that it will hold the "2021 Korea Food Expo" under the theme "Tasting the Future" for three days from the 20th to the 22nd.

This event, now in its 13th year, will be held online and non-face-to-face again this year to prevent the spread of COVID-19, just like last year.

The Food Expo will showcase products representing the present and future of the domestic food industry, ranging from traditional foods to advanced food technologies (Food Tech). Online exhibition halls such as the Food Company Pavilion, Policy Promotion Pavilion, Related Organizations Promotion Pavilion, and Food Tech Pavilion will be operated. The Food Company Pavilion will feature online booths from about 170 participating companies. The Food Tech Pavilion will provide introduction videos of 10 companies possessing advanced food-related technologies such as kimchi seasoning, low-temperature vacuum drying, and serving robots.

There will also be promotional events in collaboration with online retailers such as Post Office Shopping Mall and Oasis Market, as well as live commerce programs with Baedal Minjok and Naver Shopping.
