Jongno-gu 'Promotion of Dining Space for Low-Income Seniors at Tapgol Park' Kim Han-ra Team Leader Selected for Excellence in Active Administration

Jongno-gu 'Promotion of Dining Space for Low-Income Seniors at Tapgol Park' Kim Han-ra Team Leader Selected for Excellence in Active Administration


[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Jongno-gu (District Mayor Kim Young-jong) selected five outstanding cases to promote a culture of proactive administration within the organization, and subsequently chose three exemplary employees who contributed to the development of district administration and the enhancement of residents' convenience through their proactive work attitudes.


The purpose is to prioritize employees who achieved excellent work performance related to the five proactive administration cases that residents can directly experience, thereby widely spreading the related culture within the organization.


The final selected outstanding proactive administration employees for the second half of 2021 in Jongno-gu are: ▲ Kim Han-ra, Team Leader of the Elderly Family Division, who led the "Tapgol Park Heat Shelter and Meal Support Project for Low-income Elderly" (Excellence Award) ▲ Park Sang-hyun, Officer of the Parks and Greenery Division, who led the "Sejong Village Military Apartment Abandoned Building and Playground Facility Improvement Project" (Encouragement Award) ▲ Choi Se-hae, Officer of the Planning and Budget Division, who led the "Bench Placement Project" (Encouragement Award).


Jongno-gu plans to encourage the deep rooting of a proactive administrative culture by awarding the highest grade of performance bonuses and providing special leave to the outstanding employees selected this time.


Among the five projects selected as outstanding cases, two were also recognized in the 2021 second half proactive administration outstanding cases hosted by Seoul City, receiving the Excellence Award and Encouragement Award respectively.


First, the Seoul City-hosted proactive administration Excellence Award case is the "Construction of Public Parking Lot at the Entrance of Samcheong Park (Parking Management Division)." This project involved cooperation between the national and local governments to resolve long-standing parking issues that caused inconvenience to nearby residents, and is expected to revitalize the local economy.


Next, the Encouragement Award-winning case is the "Reusable Ice Pack Donation Project" (Jongno-gu Facilities Management Corporation). This case addressed the environmental issues caused by the surge in ice pack usage and devised support measures for small business owners facing difficulties. It included establishing a collaborative system through an MOU, installing ice pack collection boxes, and sorting, cleaning, and repackaging the ice packs for free supply to local small business owners.


District Mayor Kim Young-jong expressed, "I extend my gratitude to the employees who did their best with a proactive and responsible attitude," and added, "We will continue to strive to discover and spread good projects that residents can feel in their daily lives."
