Organized by the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Metaverse Playground is a space where anyone can experience the metaverse (extended virtual world) and will operate until the end of this year. It is divided into Metaverse Home, Life, and 5G Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) experience zones, where visitors can experience content developed by domestic metaverse companies in the fields of sports, education, conventions, shopping, and healthcare.

On the 13th, 4D Replay demonstrated the 'Taekwondo AR Live Broadcasting Solution' at the opening ceremony of the Metaverse Playground. The solution recognizes the players' attack and defense techniques during Taekwondo matches and applies 3D animation effects and AR special effects. It also introduced a method to watch the match from various angles up to 360 degrees by manipulating a mobile device. Lee Sang-yoon, head of 4D Replay, presented interactive broadcasting content that induces visual enjoyment and immersion, receiving great acclaim from on-site officials.

Lee said, "Not only for Taekwondo but also by applying gamification and AR special effects to actual sports games, we will create a new Korean wave in the sports field."
