Gwangjin District Council Reviews and Approves Key Agendas Including Consent for 출연 and (재)Consignment


[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] The Gwangjin District Council (Chairperson Park Sam-rye) opened the 247th extraordinary session on October 14, commencing an eight-day schedule of legislative activities until the 21st.


This session is the last extraordinary meeting of 2021, with plans to deliberate and resolve key agenda items such as ordinances, consent for contributions and (foundations) consignment, as well as visits to major local sites.


Starting with the plenary session on October 14, the standing committees will review relevant agenda items over five days from the 15th. On the 20th, they will visit major construction sites including public facilities to inspect the progress of projects.


On the final day, the 21st, the second plenary session will be held to process all agenda items reviewed by the standing committees and to close the extraordinary session.


A total of 26 agenda items were submitted to the 247th extraordinary session, consisting of 19 ordinances and 7 consent items.


Among these, six ordinances were proposed by council members, focusing on improving administrative and welfare services, strengthening safety, and promoting health?issues closely related to residents' daily lives.

Deputy Chairperson An Moon-hwan, who presided over the opening remarks, expressed gratitude to the residents for actively cooperating with quarantine guidelines despite consecutive holidays, and urged everyone to unite until the end for a phased return to normal life amid the ongoing spread of COVID-19. He also requested that council members thoroughly review agenda items, especially through the standing committees, as the session contains many issues closely related to residents' lives, and asked the executive branch to actively cooperate by providing sufficient prior explanations and submitting materials for efficient deliberation.
