Self-Organized Inspection Teams, Creating a Safe Public Restroom Environment
[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Chunsu] Jeonnam Damyang-gun announced that it conducted inspections by the 15th to check for the installation of illegal hidden cameras in public restrooms at multi-use facilities such as tourist sites and terminals.
To ensure that residents and visitors can use public restrooms with peace of mind, inspection teams were independently organized focusing on multi-use facilities such as tourist sites, terminals, and parks. They conducted thorough inspections of places prone to illegal camera installation using equipment such as radio wave detectors and lens detectors, checking for scratches, damage, and suspicious objects related to illegal filming.
Through this inspection, the county will take immediate corrective actions on-site for issues such as attaching stickers to suspicious traces, and repair facilities requiring supplementation as soon as possible to ensure that residents do not experience inconvenience when using restrooms.
A county official stated, “Illegal filming crimes are serious offenses where an unspecified number of people can become victims. We will do our best to eradicate illegal filming crimes through frequent inspections of public restrooms in the area and to create clean and safe public restrooms that anyone can use with confidence.”
