Meanwhile, on the 25th of last month, a childcare teacher at a daycare center in Pohang, Gyeongbuk, was involved in a case of prolonged abuse of a 6-year-old boy.
According to a YTN report, the victim's mother noticed multiple injuries on her child's neck and arms since June and requested to view the daycare's CCTV. In the footage, childcare teacher C is seen cornering the child and striking the child's head with her hand, displaying violent behavior.
After viewing the footage, the parents reported C to the police in July, but the daycare center claimed, "She hit the child because he was not concentrating and was wandering around during English class." Furthermore, the daycare director demanded the withdrawal of the report and asked other parents not to disclose the abuse, indicating attempts to cover up the incident.
Currently, C has been dismissed, and the director is also reported to have been removed from their position.
