Ate1 "Grid, CJ OliveNetworks Sign MOU for Joint Metaverse Platform Project"

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Grid, a subsidiary of Ateone, announced on the 15th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with CJ OliveNetworks to collaborate on a metaverse platform business, agreeing to mutually utilize their respective services and technologies and to promote commercialization.

The 'MOU Signing Ceremony for Joint Metaverse Platform Business,' held non-face-to-face on the 14th, was attended by key business stakeholders including Nam Byung-soo, Head of DS Business Division at CJ OliveNetworks, and Choi Cheol-soon, CEO of Grid.

Through this MOU, both companies plan to cooperate to enable various content services on Grid’s self-developed metaverse platform ‘MOIM’ across diverse fields.

With non-face-to-face activities becoming routine due to social distancing, the partnership aims to expand in areas such as non-face-to-face education, MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention, Exhibition), and commerce, as well as create synergy with CJ OliveNetworks, which provides lifestyle culture-based IT services, to operate a competitive metaverse platform.

Grid is a 100% subsidiary of Ateone, a KOSDAQ-listed company specializing in metaverse-related businesses. It is a technology-intensive company specialized in developing metaverse platforms and related platform elements.

Choi Cheol-soon, CEO of both Ateone and Grid, said, “Through this MOU, various cultural contents will be integrated into the ‘MOIM’ platform, which was developed focusing on non-face-to-face education and the MICE industry, providing an opportunity to enhance user experience.”
