Real-Time Solar Position Tracking... Power Generation Efficiency Increased by Over 30%
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Solar energy specialist company ‘Paru’ is participating in the ‘2021 Korea Energy Show’ held at Ilsan KINTEX until the 15th, showcasing its artificial intelligence (AI) agricultural solar tracker.
According to Paru on the 14th, the Korea Energy Show, celebrating its 40th edition this year, is the largest comprehensive energy-related exhibition in Korea, hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Energy Agency.
At this exhibition, Paru is presenting a single-axis tracker that follows the sun from east to west and a dual-axis tracker that tracks in east-west and north-south directions.
The dual-axis tracker boasts 20% to over 30% higher power generation efficiency compared to conventional fixed structures.
To help visitors better understand the emerging agricultural solar power, Paru installed a moving structure of the AI solar system and prepared a miniature model of agricultural solar power.
Paru’s AI agricultural solar tracker can automatically keep the modules horizontal in the event of typhoons or disasters, minimizing damage from wind and gusts.
Additionally, it features a snow mode to minimize damage from heavy snowfall and a shadow mode that reduces harm to crops underneath during farming activities.
A Paru official stated, “Through AI agricultural solar power, income generated from power production can help preserve the income of marginalized rural areas while allowing farming activities to continue as before. We will continue research and development for efficient land use and the expansion of renewable energy.”
Meanwhile, Paru is a global IT company with various domestic and international technology patents related to solar power and has a track record of over 1GW of solar power generation systems in 12 countries. Paru holds the reference of installing the world’s largest (400MW) Alamo solar power plant in Texas, USA.
