The county designated and announced about 7,024 hectares of forest as a restricted entry zone, closed 23 hiking trail routes totaling 74.8 km, and decided to actively implement autumn wildfire prevention measures such as prohibiting the possession of flammable materials and restricting entry into the forest.

In addition, 41 members of the autumn wildfire specialized prevention and suppression team were selected to conduct intensive patrols and public announcement broadcasts in wildfire-prone areas. Eight personnel were assigned to handle agricultural and forestry residues using small shredders to prevent farm burning. Wildfire monitoring activities are also planned.

County Governor Jeong Jong-sun said, “A small spark caused by a momentary lapse or minor carelessness on the part of farmers can lead to a large fire,” and urged, “We ask for the active participation of residents in wildfire prevention, including the prohibition of illegal burning of agricultural residues and the prohibition of entry into restricted forest zones.”
