Artificial marble 'Granville' applying Lotte Chemical's antibacterial material technology Evermoin (evermoin) [Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] Lotte Chemical launched six new types of artificial marble Supreme Collection on the 14th.
The new products are part of Staron, an acrylic-based artificial marble premium lineup, known for being stain-resistant and easy to process. They feature vivid wave patterns that naturally replicate the look of natural stone. The company stated that these can be widely used as interior finishing materials for kitchen furniture, table tops, washbasins, and art walls. Since the first launch in 2015, six new types have been added, bringing the total to 11. Functional products with antibacterial material technology have been added, expected to have high utility in restaurants, hospitals, and public facilities.
The company expanded its production line with an annual capacity of 120,000 sheets at the Belenko factory in Turkey, which produces engineered stone, and began commercial operation in January this year. It has an annual production capacity of 440,000 sheets, including one line at the domestic Yeosu factory (90,000 sheets per year) and three lines at the Turkey factory (350,000 sheets per year). Last month, a new building materials website was launched to enhance customer convenience.
Lee Young-jun, head of Lotte Chemical's Advanced Materials Business, said, "Based on a strategy of premium and differentiated products, we will expand the artificial marble market domestically and internationally."
