[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] The Kangwon Land Welfare Foundation announced on the 14th that it will accept applications for the 2021 winter support project for elderly and disabled living facilities and child welfare facilities operated in four cities and counties in the Kangwon mining area.
This project was prepared to reduce the burden of winter operating expenses for welfare facilities and to contribute to the improvement of welfare services for users of welfare facilities.
The support content of the winter support project includes winter heating and meal expenses for each welfare facility. Heating and meal expenses are provided to child welfare facilities, and heating expenses are provided to elderly and disabled living facilities. The support amount is paid differently depending on the target facility and capacity, with a maximum of 2 million KRW per facility.
The application period is from the 18th to the 22nd, and applications can be submitted online on the foundation's website with the application form, facility registration certificate, bankbook copy, and other related documents. The foundation plans to review the submitted documents and deliver the winter support funds to each facility by the end of this month.
Meanwhile, since 2006, the foundation has been conducting the winter support project for welfare facilities in the Kangwon mining area, and so far has provided a total of 1.341 billion KRW in winter support funds to 928 welfare facilities, contributing to the improvement of welfare in the mining area.
