[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] The Financial Security Institute will hold the country's largest financial information security conference, 'FISCON 2021,' both online and offline simultaneously on the 23rd of next month.
The theme of FISCON 2021 is "Challenges and Future Strategies of Financial Security in the Digital Platform Era." The event aims to collectively explore solutions to security challenges in financial business during the digital platform era and seek future financial security strategies.
Pre-registration can be made through the Financial Security Institute's website from today until the 5th of next month. Pre-registered participants will be individually informed about event details and participation benefits.
The event will consist of an opening ceremony, special and keynote lectures, seminars, and an information security industry exhibition. In the special lecture, Lee Beom-ju, Superintendent of the Financial Crime Investigation Unit at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, will discuss recent voice phishing cases in the financial sector and countermeasures. In the keynote lecture, Kim Byung-chil, Director of the Digital Finance Supervision Bureau at the Financial Supervisory Service, will discuss "Digital Financial Innovation and Supervision Directions."
The main lectures are scheduled across three tracks with a total of 18 topics, covering changes in the financial business environment and security strategies, growth of digital finance and IT technology innovation trends, and outlook on digital finance issues and threat response strategies.
Kim Young-gi, President of the Financial Security Institute, stated, "Security is expected to become a core business strategy in the digital platform era," adding, "We will strive to develop this event into a platform for collective intelligence exchange and cooperation where expertise and future strategies on digital finance and financial security can be shared."
