[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] Actress Kim Bu-seon declared on the 13th that she would follow Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party presidential candidate and Governor of Gyeonggi Province, to his campaign venues and carry out a campaign to defeat him.
On the same day, Kim posted on her Facebook, "This is the video of the Lee Jae-myung defeat campaign declaration ceremony. Around 2 p.m. yesterday near the Han River," along with a video.
In the released video, Kim is seen wearing a wide-brimmed hat, presumed to be under a Han River bridge. Kim said, "I declared the Lee Jae-myung defeat campaign yesterday," adding, "From now on, whether candidate Lee Jae-myung comes to the campaign venues using COVID-19 as an excuse or not, I have to visit and follow every campaign venue and protest, so I need to be physically strong." She continued, "So I decided to start running marathons again for two hours a day, but it's not easy."
She also drew an X with both hands and appealed, "Lee Jae-myung is not the one. Lee Jae-myung is absolutely not. Please trust me," and said, "Please trust Kim Bu-seon, the world-renowned Cannes actress born in Jeju Island. Then I will greet you again next time."
Later, Kim commented on her post, "I have to follow Lee Jae-myung. Let my hair down and put a flower on," showing her determination for the campaign against Governor Lee.

Earlier, on the 11th, Kim also said, "From today, I declare the Lee Jae-myung defeat campaign." At that time, she posted a series of critical messages targeting Lee on Facebook, such as "You can deceive a few for a while. You can deceive the many for a while. But you cannot deceive the many forever," and "From today, I will tear off your mask."
Meanwhile, Kim claimed that she dated Lee from around 2007 for about a year and filed a lawsuit in September 2018 seeking 300 million won in damages against Lee. She alleged that Lee denied their relationship and portrayed her as a pathological liar and habitual drug user, causing her mental and financial damages.
Regarding this, at the third hearing of the damages lawsuit held on August 25 at the Civil Division 16 of the Seoul Eastern District Court, the court rejected Kim's request for a physical examination of Lee, citing concerns over infringement of personal rights.
