[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seocho-gu (Mayor Eunhee Jo) announced that on the 22nd at 7 PM, it will hold a trot music concert titled ‘Gift’ for 250 residents aged 60 and over who have completed their COVID-19 vaccinations at the Bansong Sinsan Art Hall in the Baekshin Cultural Center, Banpo.

This concert was planned to express gratitude to residents who participated in the COVID-19 vaccination and to provide an enjoyable time for residents who found it difficult to attend live performances due to COVID-19.

The concert will feature a variety of K-trot performances including Han Hyejin, a singer representing the 1990s with hits such as ‘Brown Memory,’ as well as ▲ ‘Taekwondo Trot Man’ Na Taeju from Mr. Trot ▲ ‘Expert on My Mom’ Ahn Seonghoon ▲ and ‘Trot Squirrel’ Kang Hyeyeon, who appeared on Miss Trot 2 and is emerging as the next-generation trot goddess.

Additionally, a special guest will make a surprise appearance to present a special stage supporting the return to daily life.

The audience is Seocho-gu residents aged 60 or older (including those born in 1961) who have passed 14 days after their second COVID-19 vaccination as of the day of the performance. Ticket reservations can be made online on a first-come, first-served basis from the 14th to the 18th through the Seocho-gu Office website’s integrated reservation system, with up to two tickets per person.

On the day of the performance, entry will be allowed only after verifying vaccination completion, so attendees must carry electronic vaccination certificates (coov app) or vaccination proof documents. For more details, contact the Seocho-gu Office Culture and Tourism Division.

Also, this performance will be held in compliance with the Level 4 social distancing guidelines, maintaining one seat apart except for companions, and will strictly observe preventive measures such as temperature checks and mask-wearing to ensure a safe event.

The district expects this concert to provide healing through music to residents exhausted by COVID-19.

This concert is part of the ‘Seocho Friday Music Concert,’ the longest-running music performance program by a local government since 1994. Despite the COVID-19 situation, the Seocho Friday Music Concert offers moving and healing moments to Seocho residents every Friday through both online and offline performances.

Seocho-gu Mayor Eunhee Jo said, “This music concert was prepared to express our gratitude and the dedication of residents who voluntarily cooperated with vaccination to create a safe and healthy community,” adding, “We will continue to strive to help residents enjoy culture and arts and regain joyful daily lives as we gradually return to normal.”
