The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on the 10th that it has selected six teams as recipients of the Hanbok Love Appreciation Award. The recipients include the production team of 'Nolmeon Mwohani' and host Yoo Jae-suk (Yuyaho), Brave Girls and DKB, Jeonju city bus drivers, E-Land World, Haemil School, and staff members of the National Hangeul Museum. They were recognized for practicing Hanbok love or leading efforts to promote the beauty of Hanbok.
The production team of 'Nolmeon Mwohani' and Yoo Jae-suk attracted attention by wearing new Hanbok and Hanbok accessories in the 'MSG Wannabe' episodes aired from March to May. In particular, Yoo Jae-suk introduced the convenience of new Hanbok and explained that the hair tie was made by a knot master (National Intangible Cultural Property No. 22), increasing interest and enthusiasm for Hanbok. Brave Girls and DKB collaborated with ten Hanbok companies to plan and market products, laying the groundwork for the revitalization of the struggling industry. A total of 293 Jeonju city and village bus drivers, including Seongjin Passenger, wore Hanbok while driving during the Lunar New Year and Chuseok holidays to welcome returning guests. Haemil School introduced Hanbok uniforms, and E-Land World launched a 'Daily Hanbok Collection' in June in collaboration with the Hanbok company Leesle. Staff members of the National Hangeul Museum have been guiding visitors wearing Hanbok work uniforms since the 4th. The award ceremony will be held on the 13th at Starfield COEX Mall in Seoul.
