SK Nexilis Opens 'Gongyugage' Youth Entrepreneur Space in Jeongeup City

SK Nexilis Opens 'Gongyugage' Youth Entrepreneur Space in Jeongeup City

[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] SK Nexilis, an investor in copper foil business for secondary batteries, announced on the 8th that it has opened a youth entrepreneur space called 'Gongyugage' in Jeongeup-si, Jeollabuk-do.

SK Nexilis signed a business agreement with Jeongeup-si, Jeollabuk-do, where its production base is located, in June to revitalize the local economy and promote mutual growth, and is jointly carrying out the local rediscovery project called 'Joy'n Jeongeup' project.

As the first result of the project, SK Nexilis renovated vacant stores near Saemgoeul Market, the largest traditional market in Jeollabuk-do, to create the first and second Gongyugage stores. This space, which helps youth entrepreneurs with sales channels, houses a fine dining restaurant and a lifestyle curated store.

SK Nexilis and Jeongeup-si have decided to develop the original downtown area of Jeongeup-si into a 'signature area' centered around Gongyugage.

To encourage many youth entrepreneurs to participate, Gongyugage will be operated as a temporary store (pop-up store) on a six-month basis, and support will be provided for entrepreneurs who pass through here to settle in the Jeongeup area.

They plan to increase the number of Gongyugage stores and provide consulting to local small business owners so that they can also participate in the Gongyugage platform.
