Amendment of Articles of Incorporation Including Legal Basis Establishment and Confirmation of Business Purpose and Scope
"Leading Sustainable Growth of SMEs as a Statutory Organization for National Licensed Professionals"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] The Korea Management Technology Guidance Association (President Kim Oyeon) announced on the 7th that it will launch as a statutory organization for national certified professionals through amendments to its articles of association in accordance with the requirements of the Guidance Professionals Act.
The recent amendment to the articles of association includes △establishing a legal basis under the Guidance Professionals Act △strengthening roles and responsibilities by distinguishing between the General Assembly of members and the Delegates Assembly △defining the business purposes and scope such as diagnosis, guidance, agency work, and registration applications for guidance professionals and guidance corporations △enhancing the recommendation system for the association president and auditors and expanding the eligibility requirements for presidential candidates.
As part of its social contribution activities, the Guidance Association has been conducting the ‘2021 WIN-WIN 3000 Project’ since July to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and small business owners nationwide overcome management crises. The project, carried out through the talent donation of guidance professionals, has supported 150 SMEs and small business owners so far, and the association added that it aims to support 1,000 companies by the end of this year.
Kim Oyeon, president of the Guidance Association, said, “With the approval of the articles of association by the Minister of SMEs and Startups, a foundation has been established to expand the professional and comprehensive diagnosis and guidance system for guidance professionals,” adding, “As a statutory organization for national certified professionals, we will fulfill our roles and responsibilities in leading the sustainable growth of SMEs and small business owners and revitalizing the regional economy.”
The Guidance Association was established in July 1986 as a non-profit corporation under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. Over 36 years, it has established itself as a national certified professional organization contributing to strengthening the competitiveness of SMEs and small business owners and the development of the national economy. Currently, it has 16,475 management guidance professionals and technical guidance professionals and a total of 19 branches nationwide.
