[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] Seven out of ten major U.S. corporations plan to implement a hybrid work system that combines remote work and office attendance even after COVID-19.

On the 6th (local time), global investment bank Morgan Stanley analyzed the office return plans of 61 major publicly traded U.S. companies and found that 69% plan to partially adopt remote work.

Only 11% of companies preferred fully remote work, and 10% preferred full office attendance. The remaining 10% plan to leave the decision to their employees' discretion.

U.S. economic media MarketWatch predicted, "Even after the pandemic, large corporations will not return to the previous norm where all employees come to the office five days a week."

Currently, one out of three major U.S. corporations has started bringing some employees back to the office. They initially planned to resume office attendance last month but postponed the return to the end of the year or early next year due to the spread of the Delta variant and reduced the number of employees returning.
