[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Despite the vacancy in the governor position, Gyeongnam Province is mobilizing all its capabilities to ensure that the future of Gyeongnam is reflected in the new government's national agenda.
Acting Governor Ha Byung-pil of Gyeongnam Province stated on the 5th, "Please do your best to include Gyeongnam's strategic tasks in the new government's national agenda."
At the expanded executive meeting held in the provincial government office's administration conference room on the same day, Acting Governor Ha said, "While continuously supplementing detailed implementation methods, actively explain and persistently propose in response to inquiries from each political party."
The province included 76 projects classified into 2+2 goals, 16 strategies, and 64 tasks in the '2022 New Government Gyeongsangnam-do Strategic Task Proposals' released on the 30th of last month.
Regarding the initial budget formulation for next year, Acting Governor Ha pointed out, "Considering the acting governor system, projects that bring permanent changes to the expenditure structure requiring residents' approval and support should be reviewed more carefully."
Regarding COVID-19, he explained, "Following the Chuseok holiday, the spread of infections among foreigners and confirmed cases in workplaces within the province have increased," adding, "This is a time when thorough quarantine and proactive blocking are necessary."
