[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Gyeongsangnam-do awarded certificates to 10 companies selected as '2021 Excellent Employment Companies.'

The province held a specialized employment review committee in June to evaluate 23 companies that applied for the Excellent Employment Companies contest and finally selected 10 companies with outstanding job creation performance.

The companies selected this time are Kick the Hurdle, CTNS, Ire Industry, Gagopa Healing Food in Changwon; Cheongwoo Heavy Industries in Sacheon; Hanla Industry, FDC, ATG Soft in Gimhae; Smile F&D in Yangsan; and Romansys in Haman.

Companies selected as Excellent Employment Companies will receive a total of 15 benefits, including up to 15 million KRW support for improving working environments to enhance labor capacity or employee welfare, employment incentives of up to 25 million KRW for newly hired personnel for up to three years, a three-year deferral of local tax audits, preferential interest subsidies for small and medium enterprise development funds, priority allocation of SME support funds, and a maximum 1.6% preferential interest rate on loans.

Ha Byung-pil, Acting Governor of Gyeongnam Province, said, "Good jobs are created through active investment by private companies and new startups," adding, "The province will continue efforts to create conditions for revitalizing investment and startups and to promote growth together with companies and the local community."

Meanwhile, the 'Excellent Employment Company Certification System,' implemented by the province since 2010, is a policy to discover and support companies that have made efforts in job creation and employment stability, thereby boosting corporate morale and spreading a culture of local job creation.

Up to 2020, a total of 213 companies have been certified, contributing significantly to job creation by hiring 6,222 regular employees.
