[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] Kim Ki-hyun, the floor leader of the People Power Party, announced on the 5th that Lee Jun-seok, the party leader, will embark on a walking protest to urge a special prosecutor investigation into the Daejang-dong scandal.

After the party's National Assembly audit countermeasure meeting ended that morning, Floor Leader Kim told reporters, "Leader Lee will likely start the walking protest tomorrow." He added, "We are preparing picket protests at every street and major intersection across the country during commuting hours."

Floor Leader Kim stated, "Today, Baekhyeon-dong came up again, but the same applies to Wirye New Town," and claimed, "It was a massive private favoritism gate that occurred during Lee Jae-myung's tenure as mayor of Seongnam at the time." He continued, "I have seen public opinion polls showing that over 60% of the public overwhelmingly support a special prosecutor to hold the mayor accountable at that time, and I urge the public's interest to increase even more than now."

At the National Assembly audit countermeasure meeting, Floor Leader Kim criticized Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party presidential candidate and Gyeonggi Province governor, regarding the Daejang-dong development project promoted during his time as mayor of Seongnam, saying, "As the mask of hypocrisy and lies is removed, a rotten stench fills the cesspool," and pointed out, "The Daejang-dong development project, which Lee praises as an achievement, was not a merit but a disgrace."
