Operation of Forest Healing Experiences, Linkage with Regional Tourism Projects, and Support for Green Fund Projects
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Yoo Geun-gi) announced on the 5th that it signed a business agreement on October 5th with the National Gokseong Healing Forest to revitalize the local economy and the forest healing industry.
Through this agreement, both organizations agreed to cooperate in operating forest healing experience programs using forests, linking local tourism projects, supporting green fund projects, and promoting public health and discovering new industries.
The agreement includes ▲ mutual cooperation for the activation of forest resource utilization, forest protection, and disaster prevention, ▲ mutual cooperation to promote local forest education and forest welfare services, and ▲ support for project operation and mutual promotion to revitalize local tourism.
A county official said, “Recently, interest in mental and emotional healing has increased due to COVID-19 blues. We expect that expanding forest healing services through this agreement will help improve the health of residents, create new tourism demand, attract population inflow, and revitalize the local economy.”
