[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] Gwangju University (President Kim Hyuk-jong) is attracting attention by supporting current students' employment and revitalizing job placement through consulting on how to write self-introduction letters and interview skills.

According to Gwangju University on the 5th, the University Job Center held an 'Application Form and Interview Contest,' and the final interview involving 20 students who passed the document screening and mock interview will be conducted on the 17th of next month.

Three students selected through the final interview will receive prizes, internship experiences at the University Job Center, and recommendations for administrative internships at the school.

This contest applies the same recruitment process as actual corporate hiring procedures, providing students with the opportunity to experience the hiring process through competition and selection, and aims to cultivate customized talents demanded by companies through field training such as administrative internships.

Participants include current students from 3rd to 5th year and graduates. For students selected through the self-introduction document screening, special lectures on improving interview skills and mock interview practice were provided by employment-dedicated professors and professional consultants.

Additionally, consulting will be conducted for students who were eliminated in the document screening to seek improvements and strengthen employment capabilities.

Along with the 'Application Form and Interview Contest,' the Gwangju University Job Center is conducting a Youth Employment Policy Contest to promote youth employment policies and University Job Center programs through online and offline channels.

A total of 556 students participated in the Youth Employment Policy Contest, and an online quiz competition is held monthly to select 32 finalists. The final competition, in the style of a Challenge Golden Bell, will be held on the 28th.

Gwangju University plans to continue supporting students' successful employment through employment policies supported by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and to increase participation in programs promoted by the University Job Center.

Yoon Hong-sang, head of the Gwangju University Job Center, said, “Our university, which is establishing itself as a prestigious university for employment and start-up education, operates various support programs to increase students' employment rates,” adding, “We will enhance satisfaction through a student-centered customized education system.”
