Bloomberg Mark Geoman Report
[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] There are expectations that Apple will announce a new MacBook Pro equipped with the faster M1X silicon chip in October.
IT specialized media outlets MacRumors and GSM Arena reported this on the 4th (local time), citing Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. Mark Gurman stated, "Apple generally announces new MacBooks in October," and "the new product will be announced within a few weeks."
The M1X chip is a silicon chip scheduled for release in 2021, developed in two variations: one with 10 CPU cores and either 16 or 32 graphics cores.
Apple's MacBook new product announcement events are usually held in October, but last year it was held in November. The timing of this year's event has not been announced.
Expectations for the MacBook Pro model are high. It is being developed in 14-inch or 16-inch sizes and is believed to feature a high-power mode to improve battery efficiency. The display resolution is also presumed to have been upgraded.
Apple specialist analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of TF International Securities has claimed, "The new model will adopt a form factor with flat edges similar to the iPhone 12." He also mentioned that the MagSafe auxiliary battery will be supported, along with an SD card reader and HDMI port.
Meanwhile, there are also expectations that the Mac Mini, completely redesigned with the M1X chip, and AirPods 3 could be unveiled at this MacBook new product event. 9to5Mac reported, "Apple still has announcements left for the remainder of 2021," and "according to rumors, another event may be held in October."
