Trade Association Launches 'ESG Export Capability Self-Diagnosis' Service Example of ESG Export Capability Self-Assessment Results

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyewon] The Korea International Trade Association (KITA) announced on the 5th that it has launched the 'ESG Export Capability Self-Diagnosis Service,' which allows Korean export companies to assess their ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) levels.

This service enables companies to easily diagnose their ESG management level online and provides reports on grades and improvement directions for each sector of environment, social, and governance. It helps Korean export companies respond to country- and company-specific ESG regulations when entering overseas markets. The ESG self-diagnosis model consists of 65 items and was jointly developed by KITA and NICE D&B, a corporate credit evaluation agency.

The service is available on TradeKorea, KITA's online platform for business-to-business (B2B) transactions.

Kim Hyuncheol, Head of KITA's Global Marketing Division, stated, "Going forward, ESG will become an important requirement that companies must consider when exporting," adding, "To help our export companies prepare for this, we will soon introduce an English ESG reporting service for marketing purposes to support our companies' overseas expansion."
