Silla University announced on the 4th that it will transfer Korea's advanced scientific investigation techniques to Africa.
The Department of Police Administration at Silla University is conducting the KOICA 'Nigeria Security Capacity Enhancement Training' for Nigerian police officers from the 4th to the 15th.
Silla University has been transferring Korea's excellent security techniques, including crime prevention and successful scientific investigation cases of the Korean police, to Nigeria for three years.
On the 4th, they started real-time online training through the newly launched LMS (Learning Management System) and video conferencing platforms.
In this training, professors from the Department of Police Administration, experts from the Busan Police Agency, the Scientific Investigation Unit, and the National Disaster Safety Research Institute will introduce various security techniques through programs covering crime theory and psychology, advanced crime prevention systems, scientific investigation methods, and the use of security drones.
They will also identify key issues in Nigeria, establish practical action plans, and discuss specific measures to improve security levels.
Professor Cho Min-sang of the Department of Police Administration said, "I hope this training will serve as an opportunity to widely promote Korea's safe security system and the strengths of the Korean police," adding, "Silla University will continue to participate in security cooperation projects and take the lead in spreading advanced security techniques overseas."
