According to FlixPatrol, a global online video service (OTT) ranking site, on the 1st, Squid Game ranked number 1 in the Netflix TV category in 81 out of 83 countries, except Denmark and Turkey. In Denmark and Turkey, it dropped one spot from number 1 to number 2.
The total score dropped by 1 point from the previous day to 828 points, which is 158 points ahead of the second-place British original series 'Sex Education' (670 points).
In India, the local comedy drama 'Kota Factory,' which depicts the competition among students preparing for entrance exams to prestigious universities, had maintained the number 1 spot until now.
According to Netflix, the cast of Squid Game will appear as special guests on the popular American NBC talk show 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.' However, the specific cast members have not been announced.
Squid Game, a drama depicting a survival game with a total prize of 45.6 billion KRW, stars actors Lee Jung-jae, Park Hae-soo, Jung Ho-yeon, Wi Ha-joon, Oh Young-soo, Heo Sung-tae, and Anupam Tripathi.
