[Asia Economy Reporter Joeslgina] Online video service (OTT) Wavve will operate the 'Seoul Drama Awards 2021' online screening room throughout October.
Wavve announced on the 1st that it will introduce drama works from around the world submitted to the Seoul Drama Awards until the 31st. The Seoul Drama Awards, which started in 2006, is a festival for TV drama producers and fans worldwide, now in its 16th year. This year, 238 works from 41 countries were submitted, and Wavve offers 37 major works.
The works available on Wavve include 26 existing titles currently in service and 11 special screening works. The special screening works can be viewed by free members as well.
Among the existing works provided in the online screening room, domestic dramas include ▲Penthouse Season 1, Season 2 ▲SF8-Nurse On Duty ▲Please Don't Meet That Man ▲Kkondae Intern ▲Do You Like Brahms? and 14 other titles.
Also, Chinese dramas ▲Yu Bi ▲Silver Rain and Thunder ▲Happiness, Tentacles Grade ▲Mo Baek-su totaling 4 works, and Japanese dramas ▲Company Marriage Honey ▲The Equation to Eliminate the Teacher ▲We Are Not Dangerous totaling 6 works are introduced together.
The 11 special screening works available for free viewing were selected from various countries whose works have been difficult for domestic drama fans to access until now.
The German public broadcaster ZDF's miniseries ▲We Children from Bahnhof Zoo tells the story of 18-year-olds trying to find their own world. The episodes of five characters proceed like an ensemble drama, receiving praise from judges for vividly portraying the chaotic atmosphere of conflict between adults and children.
The Dutch drama ▲Redlight is a crime thriller revolving around three women living completely different lives. The dramatic structure of each character is solid, and the performances of the three women stand out.
In addition, ▲Delete Me (Norway) ▲The Child of Light (Taiwan) ▲Girls Win (Taiwan) ▲I Told Sunset About You (Thailand) ▲Blackout (Thailand) ▲Passengers (Russia) ▲The Pit S4 (Turkey) ▲Jackpot (Germany) ▲Fourniret the Showdown (France) are included in Wavve's free screening works.
