LX Hausys Accelerates Expansion into Medical Interior Market

[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] LX Hausys is participating in the '2021 K-HOSPITAL FAIR (International Hospital & Medical Industry Expo)' held at COEX, Seoul, from the 30th of this month to the 2nd of next month, showcasing various interior materials for medical facilities.

Hosted by the Korea Hospital Association, the 'K-HOSPITAL FAIR' is the largest healthcare industry exhibition in Korea, attracting around 20,000 visitors annually, including medical industry professionals.

At this exhibition, LX Hausys presented a wide range of products for medical facilities, including flooring with strong durability, wall panels with secured fire safety, and artificial marble with excellent hygiene.

Among these, the medical facility-exclusive flooring products in the ‘Prairie’ and ‘Origin’ series, which feature a uniform single-layer structure from the surface to the bottom, offering outstanding durability, antibacterial performance, and stain resistance, are drawing visitors' attention.

Also attracting attention amid growing social interest in fire safety are flame-retardant wallpapers such as ‘Gracia Tex’ and wall panel products called ‘Semi-Noncombustible Sheet,’ which have obtained semi-noncombustible performance certification from the Korea Fire Institute (KFI) due to their low flame spread and minimal harmful substance emissions.

Additionally, artificial marble ‘Hi-Macs’ and engineered stone ‘Viatera,’ which provide luxurious interior finishes along with excellent hygiene and durability, are receiving positive responses for use in various spaces such as hospital lobby information desks, examination rooms, and operating rooms.

Furthermore, as healing spaces that bring nature into medical facilities gain popularity, the reinforced wood material ‘Woozen Real Deck,’ which combines the realistic texture of natural wood with anti-slip functionality, is being spotlighted as a flooring material for rest areas.
