Tae-jin Hyung Announces Changes, Lineage M and 2M Also Revamp Payment Systems

[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] NCSoft is revamping the payment system of its mobile MMORPGs 'Lineage M' and 'Lineage 2M'.

On the 30th, NC announced that the 'Ain Hasad Activation Product' will be available for purchase using in-game currency.

NC has faced criticism from loyal Lineage users, known as 'Linjeossi (Lineage + ajeossi)', due to excessive spending inducement through loot boxes and other probability-based items. In response, CEO Kim Taek-jin personally issued a message pledging to "make every effort to bring about change" and to address public concerns.

The Ain Hasad system is a buff that grants increased experience gain rate, increased Adena acquisition rate, and the effect of obtaining non-bound (tradable) items.

Before the revamp, users could purchase related paid products to receive these buffs. With this update, all users will receive the same effects (400% experience gain, 150% Adena acquisition increase) using in-game currency. The related paid products will be discontinued.

NC has also prepared a user compensation policy. Users can receive a full refund regardless of whether they have used the 'Dragon's Dragon Orb' or 'Ain Hasad's Blessing' products.

If users wish, they can also exchange these for in-game items. NC has also announced an upcoming update for personal item trading in Lineage M and Lineage 2M. After the update, users will be able to buy and sell items through personal trades. Detailed information and schedules will be announced later.
