They plan to discuss various cooperation measures including healthcare, health checkups and treatment linkage services, operation of healthy lifestyle practice programs, prevention and management of chronic diseases, and provision of various health information.
In particular, a smoking test will be conducted to provide insurance discount benefits for non-smokers. By paying a nominal fee, non-smoking tests can be immediately taken at nationwide screening centers under the Korea Health Management Association, allowing many customers to conveniently receive dental coverage benefits at a lower cost.
Based on research showing that the incidence rate of periodontal disease in smokers is approximately 1.73 times higher than that of non-smokers, Mirae Asset Life Insurance has obtained exclusive rights for the industry's first non-smoking dental insurance premium discount special contract that offers premium discounts to non-smokers.
Accordingly, non-smokers who subscribe to the 'Online Non-Smoking Solid Dental Insurance' can receive up to a 35% discount on premiums. For example, a 30-year-old male subscribing to a 10-year term prosthetic treatment plan with a coverage amount of 10 million KRW would pay a regular premium of 7,900 KRW per month, but with the non-smoking discount, the premium is reduced to 5,400 KRW per month.
Mirae Asset Life Insurance explained that 52.3% of customers who subscribed to the online non-smoking solid dental insurance are enjoying the non-smoking discount benefits.
