[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 30th that it has launched the renewed ‘New Warranty Extension Product,’ an upgraded version of its existing warranty extension service.
The warranty extension product is a service that extends the warranty period by an additional contract period and mileage after the expiration of the free warranty period.
Hyundai emphasized that through this product, it has diversified the options for period and mileage selection and expanded the applicable models to include the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle ‘Nexo’ and all Genesis models, thereby enhancing customer convenience.
The new product is available to individual and individual business customers who purchase Hyundai and Genesis vehicles and whose delivery date is within 2 years and mileage within 40,000 km. (However, corporate vehicles, taxis, lease, rental cars, and other commercial vehicles are excluded.)
Customers can customize the optimal product by combining the warranty period and mileage according to their car life style. They can select the desired extension period and mileage separately for general parts and engine/motion parts.
For example, Hyundai ‘Avante’ owners can use the product starting from 232,000 KRW, and ‘Palisade’ owners from 466,000 KRW. For Genesis, ‘G70’ owners can use the product starting from 797,000 KRW, and ‘G90’ owners from 1,076,000 KRW. Detailed information is available on Hyundai Motor’s official website.
