Gyeonggi Office of Education Opens 'EduTech Soft Lab'

[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education opened the 'Gyeonggi EduTech Soft Lab' on the 29th.

The Gyeonggi EduTech Soft Lab is an educational facility jointly operated by the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, Gyeonggi Provincial Government, and Gyeonggi University to strengthen the EduTech capabilities of students and teachers in the province and to support EduTech technology development and research.

The Soft Lab will be located in the E-Square building of Gyeonggi University in Suwon in December.

The Gyeonggi Office of Education plans to open the EduTech Soft Lab before the building is completed to support remote classes and enhance EduTech capabilities in schools, and will start operating online EduTech education programs from October.

The main operations of the EduTech Soft Lab include ▲ operating EduTech capability enhancement programs for students and teachers ▲ producing and supporting remote class learning materials ▲ linking educational sites with EduTech technology and industry ▲ participating in EduTech product development.

In particular, the Gyeonggi Office of Education plans to actively support teachers in producing remote class learning materials and technology development by operating the 'Priming Teacher Support Group' program through the EduTech Soft Lab, allowing teachers to directly experience and develop EduTech technology.

An Junsang, Director of Educational Information at the Gyeonggi Office of Education, emphasized, "The Gyeonggi EduTech Soft Lab will be a space where new EduTech technologies and products, which are difficult to encounter in daily life, can be directly experienced and shared. We will lead future education by enhancing the EduTech capabilities of students, teachers, and parents through various programs and supporting related research and technology development."
