Shinhan Financial Hope Foundation Opens 103rd Branch of Co-Parenting Sharing Center 'Shinhan Kkumdodamteo'

[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Shinhan Financial Hope Foundation announced on the 29th that it has opened the 103rd community childcare sharing center, 'Shinhan Kkum Dodam Center,' in Gukdong, Sinwol-ro, Yeosu.


Shinhan Kkum Dodam Center is a project conducted by Shinhan Financial Hope Foundation to support after-school care activities for elementary school children from dual-income families, aiming to reduce childcare burdens and prevent career interruptions for women.


Since 2018, Shinhan Financial Hope Foundation has signed a business agreement with the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family and has been carrying out the project to establish community childcare sharing centers nationwide.


So far, a total of 103 Shinhan Kkum Dodam Centers have been opened nationwide, and there are plans to open a total of 200 centers over the next three years.


At the opening ceremony, in compliance with COVID-19 quarantine guidelines, Yeosu Mayor Kwon Oh-bong, Shin Hyang-jin, head of Shinhan Bank Yeosu branch, city council members, representatives of operating corporations, and education institution officials attended to celebrate the opening of Yeosu City's first community childcare sharing center, Shinhan Kkum Dodam Center.


A Shinhan Financial official said, "By leveraging the essence of the financial industry, we will spare no effort to support children, the future leaders, in establishing proper financial values and growing up healthily."
