[Asia Economy Reporter Seulgina Cho] LG Uplus's enterprise-exclusive solution, ‘U+ Webfax,’ has been integrated into Kakao Enterprise’s work platform, Kakao Work. Kakao Work users can now use the U+ Webfax service more conveniently.
LG Uplus announced on the 29th that it has signed a service partnership with Kakao Enterprise to accelerate its penetration into the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) solution market. This partnership was promoted to improve customer convenience and secure subscribers through collaboration between LG Uplus, which offers various enterprise solutions such as U+ Works, web hard drives, ERP, and work hour management, and Kakao Enterprise, which operates the comprehensive work platform ‘Kakao Work.’
According to the 2021 first half competitive performance survey released by market research firm KRG, the domestic SME solution market size is expected to grow from 420 billion KRW in 2020 to 508 billion KRW by 2025. LG Uplus and Kakao Enterprise plan to enhance their competitiveness in the enterprise solution market through this service partnership.
First, the two companies linked the service so that LG Uplus’s solution, U+ Webfax, can be used within Kakao Work. Among Kakao Work customers, those who want to send and receive faxes via mobile or PC can subscribe to U+ Webfax within the Kakao Work app and use the service. When a U+ Webfax arrives, users receive notifications via the Kakao Work messenger and can check and send fax contents in real time.
LG Uplus expects an increase in subscribers by naturally introducing the U+ Webfax solution to Kakao Work users. Kakao Enterprise can provide convenience to subscribers and strengthen service competitiveness through the integration of various solutions within Kakao Work.
Additionally, the two companies plan to have Kakao Work join LG Uplus’s enterprise-exclusive online portal, ‘U+ Biz Market.’ U+ Biz Market is a site where LG Uplus introduces enterprise solutions and enables subscription. LG Uplus will introduce Kakao Work through U+ Biz Market and provide subscription consultations. Furthermore, through pre-tests and other measures, they plan to expand the integrated services between LG Uplus’s enterprise solutions and Kakao Work as early as this year.
Lee Seok-young, Vice President of Kakao Enterprise, said, “We will continue to cooperate to enhance business convenience for companies by providing various LG Uplus enterprise solutions on Kakao Work.”
Park Byung-joo, Head of Solution Business at LG Uplus, said, “The partnership with Kakao Enterprise is expected to be an opportunity to expand the service competitiveness of both companies in the enterprise solution market,” adding, “We will continue to expand the application of mutually interoperable enterprise solutions in the future.”
