[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jun-yi] The People Power Party has finalized the schedule for the main debate sessions involving the four presidential primary candidates. The candidates are set to participate in a total of 10 debate sessions, starting with a joint debate in Gwangju on the 11th of next month.

The People Power Party Election Commission held a meeting at the Yeouido party headquarters on the 28th and made this decision.

According to the resolution announced by the Election Commission that day, after the results of the second cut-off on the 8th of next month are announced, the party will hold a total of 10 joint debates, including seven regional broadcast debates and three '1-on-1 face-off debates.'

Debates will be held in different regions every Monday and Wednesday, while 1-on-1 face-off debates will take place every Friday.

The regional debates will begin on the 11th of next month in Gwangju, Jeonnam, and Jeonbuk. This will be followed by Jeju on the 13th, Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam on the 18th, Daegu and Gyeongbuk on the 20th, Daejeon, Sejong, and Chungnam on the 25th, Gangwon on the 27th, and Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi on the 31st. However, considering the COVID-19 prevention measures, the debates will be conducted in a broadcast debate format instead of the previous joint speech format.

The three 1-on-1 face-off debates will be arranged so that each of the four candidates faces each of the other candidates once.

The final candidate will be decided through mobile voting on November 1-2, ARS voting on November 3-4, and the party convention on the 5th.
