"A healthy husband, but they said 'no causality' due to pre-existing conditions"

[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Juhee] A claim has emerged that a healthy man in his 40s who neither drank nor smoked died from acute pancreatitis after receiving the first dose of the AstraZeneca (AZ) vaccine. The wife stated that her husband had no underlying health conditions and was generally healthy.
On the 27th, a post titled "I want to see my husband (41 years old) who died after the first AZ shot" was uploaded on the Blue House National Petition board.
The author, identified as A, who said she was the deceased man's wife, explained, "My husband received the first AZ vaccination on May 31 and passed away on June 16. Two weeks after the first dose, he complained of abdominal pain and visited the hospital, but died four days later. The cause of the abdominal pain was acute pancreatitis of unknown origin."
A said, "The main causes of acute pancreatitis are usually alcohol and smoking, but my husband was a healthy person who did not engage in either," adding, "We both work in education, and we applied for leftover vaccines not to protect ourselves but to create a safe space for students to study."
She continued, "I thought my husband would be discharged after a few days in the hospital, but he never came back. It is extremely rare for acute pancreatitis to progress so rapidly in someone in their 40s," and said she spoke to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency about her husband's death, but the response was that there was 'no correlation due to underlying conditions.'

A said, "When I asked what underlying conditions a healthy man in his 40s could have, the answer was 'hypertension and diabetes,'" adding, "(My husband) had never been diagnosed with or prescribed medication for hypertension or diabetes at any hospital."
She expressed anger, saying, "I regret not just getting COVID-19 and recovering naturally instead of getting vaccinated. The government said it would take responsibility for side effects and emphasized that vaccination was the only way to overcome COVID-19."
She lamented, "A father who was a strong support for our 9-year-old child disappeared in an instant," and said, "It is overwhelming for powerless citizens who have the right to be protected by the country to face the reality of living on." This petition had gained about 5,300 supporters as of 4:50 p.m. on the 28th.
