Selected 313 Socially Considerate Groups Including Persons with Disabilities and Low-Income Individuals
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced the final successful candidates for the local government official recruitment exam, confirming 2,839 people on the 29th.
According to Seoul City, a total of 2,839 final successful candidates were selected through the first recruitment exam this year. All are for grade 9 positions, with 2,020 in the administrative category and 819 in the technical category. The final successful candidates were selected from 3,606 who passed the written exam for the grade 9 open competitive recruitment exam held on June 5, through interviews conducted from August 16 to September 6.
To expand public service opportunities for socially disadvantaged groups, separate recruitment was conducted apart from general applicants. Among them, 104 people with disabilities, accounting for 3.7% of the total recruitment, and 209 low-income candidates, accounting for 7.3% of the grade 9 open competitive exam candidates, were successful.
The gender composition was 1,215 males (42.8%) and 1,624 females (57.2%), with the female ratio exceeding half, similar to last year. The total number of successful candidates with disabilities and from low-income groups was 313, accounting for 11.0%.
By age group, those in their 20s made up the majority with 1,667 people (58.7%), followed by 887 in their 30s (31.2%), 233 in their 40s (8.2%), 42 in their 50s (1.5%), and 10 in their teens (0.4%). The youngest successful candidate was born in 2003 and passed for the grade 9 electrical facilities position, while the oldest successful candidate was born in 1962 and passed for the grade 9 general administration position.
