DK Asia and DK Urban Development, recipients of the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Award in the Developer category at this year’s Asia Construction Comprehensive Awards, are powerhouses in domestic urban development. Since their establishment in 2000, they have risen to become one of the leading companies in Korea by focusing on large-scale urban development projects centered around areas with well-established transportation infrastructure and facilities. Currently, they are advancing a total of 12 ultra-transit-oriented urban development projects.
DK Asia and DK Urban Development are leading the future of Korea’s urban development industry with the goal of creating pleasant urban environments and enhancing public welfare. They prominently promote the value of being a ‘Life City Creator,’ prioritizing an evolved lifestyle for the people who will live in the newly developed cities.
One of their representative projects is the construction of Korea’s first ‘resort city.’ Last year, under the ‘Resort City’ Season 1 concept, DK Asia and DK Urban Development supplied 4,805 households at ‘Geomam Station Royal Park City Prugio’ in Seo-gu, Incheon, achieving a complete sell-out. This complex is set to become a mammoth-scale landmark representing Incheon.
In the second half of this year, they will introduce ‘Wanggil Station Royal Park City’ under the ‘Resort City’ Season 2 concept. The supply scale will reach 13,000 households. DK Asia and DK Urban Development plan to make this complex Incheon’s first ultra-large high-end resort city. Landscaping will be handled by Samsung C&T’s Resort Division, ranked number one in domestic construction capability evaluations.
The specialized finishing on the complex’s sidewall lines, initially planned for only some buildings, has been expanded to all buildings. Premium black and prestige gold colors are harmoniously used to highlight the monotone building exteriors, enhancing elegance and dignity. Some of the specialized finishes are designed with lighting features to create a symbolic complex that shines with presence even at night.

For the first time in Incheon’s private apartment construction sites, a Construction Management (CM) company was selected with an additional cost of several hundred million won. Despite having a contractor and supervisor, the CM was chosen to establish a triple-layered construction safety system, ensuring peace of mind for future residents until move-in. Additionally, to support newlywed couples in comfortably raising children, an elementary school will be built within the Wanggil Station Royal Park City project area and donated to the local government.
Since the residents’ comfortable living is DK Asia and DK Urban Development’s business goal, pedestrian infrastructure for safety will also be established within the complex. Instead of a street crossing for cars, large connecting walkways such as Sky Garden Walk, Park View Walk, and Royal Park Walk will be created to allow direct access from Incheon Subway Wanggil Station to the complex, parks, and green spaces. The Sky Garden Walk, in particular, is an elevated circular pedestrian walkway connecting the entire complex, greatly enhancing mobility convenience.
Since 2002, DK Asia and DK Urban Development have consistently engaged in volunteer activities through their in-house volunteer group ‘Sarang Nanumhoe.’ They support nursing homes, orphanages, and also provide surgery costs for children with heart disease and incurable illnesses. Kim Hyo-jong, CEO of DK Asia and DK Urban Development, stated, “We will do our best to grow infinitely as a company that leads the paradigm of urban development in Korea while practicing gratitude and sharing.”
