[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Logistics platform company LOGISTEQ announced on the 28th that it has launched ‘ALOA,’ a transportation management platform based on a self-developed map, and newly added an instant delivery service (solution) following same-day delivery and dawn delivery.
Recently, as non-face-to-face transactions due to COVID-19 have spread throughout the industry, logistics delivery service competition among e-commerce companies has become a new issue in the e-commerce market, not only with same-day and dawn delivery but also with instant delivery services tailored to customers' desired time slots.
However, due to the lack of platforms capable of integrated logistics service operation, related industries are currently dividing delivery service tasks according to service types among several third-party logistics (3PL) specialized companies.
ALOA provides an Intelligent Dispatch function that allows clients currently operating reservation delivery to simultaneously and integratively operate instant delivery services for real-time orders, enabling customers to improve operational efficiency and create new business opportunities.
Since July 19, it has been operating a pilot service for an eco-friendly Porter EV-based mobile fulfillment solution business in collaboration with Hyundai Motor Group. The concept involves eco-friendly Porter EV vehicles equipped with cold chains acting as mobile fulfillment centers, carrying fresh food and delivering orders within 30 minutes of customer requests.
Through the ALOA platform, LOGISTEQ automatically dispatches the optimal vehicle that can reach new order locations the fastest among vehicles currently holding inventory, and provides optimal routes with the highest energy efficiency based on real-time vehicle temperature control and charging status (eco-routing), managing quick commerce transportation integratively. Hyundai Department Store participated as the shipper, and Teamfresh participated as the operator of delivery drivers.
Additionally, the smart logistics platform ALOA provides transportation services to companies with various transportation tasks, including operating their own dawn delivery and delivery operations for online food malls, pickup services for sellers in secondhand transactions, direct delivery of seafood in the metropolitan area, dispatching printed media from printing houses to 500 regional centers nationwide, delivering pharmaceuticals to hospitals and pharmacies in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon areas, and handling 23,000 weekly parcel deliveries in the metropolitan area.
Shin Min, director of LOGISTEQ, stated, “On-demand response will be a crucial factor in securing service competitiveness in the logistics industry,” and added, “The ALOA platform is expected to provide an environment where numerous logistics companies and e-commerce businesses can easily operate logistics transportation systems without massive infrastructure investments, enabling rapid expansion and development of their own logistics services.”
Meanwhile, LOGISTEQ is an IT company building a LaaS platform that simplifies the complex supply chain in logistics by integratively managing the entire transportation process, ultimately innovatively reducing logistics costs. Since its establishment in 2019, it has received strategic investments of 1 billion KRW from Square Ventures VC and 500 million KRW from cold chain logistics platform company Teamfresh.
