[Asia Economy Online Issue Team] Comedian Hwang Shin-young announced the birth of her triplets.

On the 27th, Hwang Shin-young shared a video on her Instagram, saying, "I gave birth. There is some blood inside my abdomen, so I had a cesarean section and underwent sedation anesthesia for the procedure, so I haven't even seen the babies' faces yet. The video I'm posting now shows the second and third babies." The video showed Hwang Shin-young's children being taken to the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

She continued, "Due to COVID-19, visits to the babies in the NICU are limited, so I think I should properly show photos of the babies after I recover a bit. Because of the emergency situation and lack of NICU space, two of our triplets were transferred to the NICU of another university hospital, so they are currently separated," she said.

Additionally, Hwang Shin-young added, "Still, all three babies were born healthy, and I am recovering, so there is no need to worry." She also thanked the fans who supported her, saying, "Thank you."

Meanwhile, Hwang Shin-young graduated from the Creative Department of the Dance School at Korea National University of Arts and debuted as a comedian in 2013 through KBS's 28th public recruitment. She married a businessman five years her senior in 2017 and announced her pregnancy with triplets through artificial insemination last March.
