Sterilization of the entire internal water passage from filter through direct water pipe to outlet with high-temperature water
Automatic up-down function of outlet enables left-right rotation and vertical adjustment by detecting cup height
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyewon] LG Electronics announced on the 28th that it will launch a new PuriCare Up-Down-Left-Right Water Purifier with enhanced high-temperature sterilization function on the 30th.
This product features a new function that sterilizes the interior, which is invisible to the eye, with high-temperature water, making it the first in Korea to sterilize the entire internal section of the water purifier through which water passes with high-temperature water. This function regularly sterilizes the entire water purifier with high-temperature water once a week, from the filter that purifies the water to the direct water pipe through which the water flows.
Additionally, customers can press a button whenever they want to separately activate the high-temperature sterilization function for the direct water pipe and the water outlet. LG Electronics also applied the UV nano function, which automatically sterilizes the water outlet with UV LED periodically, to this product.
LG Electronics applied a stainless steel direct water pipe that is resistant to corrosion and discoloration to the new product. Since the stainless steel direct water pipe is sterilized 99.99% by high-temperature sterilization, the internal hygiene of the water purifier can be kept clean without worries about bacteria or water scale. According to tests conducted by LG Electronics in collaboration with the Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology, the Korea Testing & Research Institute, and KOTITI Testing & Research Institute, the high-temperature sterilization function of the new product removed 99.99% of Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
Customers can choose from seven colors, including four Objet Collection colors?Calming Beige, Calming Green, Calming Pale Rose, and Calming Cotton Sky?that naturally harmonize with the entire interior space of the home.
This product inherits the advantages of the existing LG PuriCare Up-Down-Left-Right Water Purifier. Not only does the water outlet and stand rotate 180 degrees left and right, but it also has an automatic up-down function that moves the water outlet vertically. When a customer places a cup on the water purifier stand and presses the water dispensing button, a sensor that detects the height of the cup adjusts the height of the water outlet up to 10 cm up or down to reduce water splashing.
The upgraded 4-stage All Puri filter system removes nine types of heavy metals, including manganese and zinc, which are the main components of rust. According to tests conducted by Norogen, a professional inspection agency, by passing water containing norovirus, which causes enteritis and food poisoning, through the filter, 99.99% of viruses in the water were removed.
Customers can choose between professional on-site management and a more affordable self-management method for water purifier maintenance. For on-site management, a Care Solution manager visits every three months to provide professional product management services, including filter replacement and internal and external cleaning of the product. If self-management is chosen, customers can replace the regularly delivered filters themselves.
Based on a 5-year contract, the monthly fee for using the Objet Collection product with on-site management is 41,900 KRW, and self-management is 35,900 KRW. For general products, depending on color and whether the hot water function is included, on-site management costs range from 35,900 KRW to 39,900 KRW, and self-management costs range from 29,900 KRW to 33,900 KRW. For a 6-year contract, the monthly fee is 4,000 KRW cheaper.
