The Ministry of the Interior and Safety comprehensively evaluated factors such as leadership in community-based management, realization of village enterprise values including local contribution activities, and whether more than two years have passed since designation as a village enterprise, and on the 26th selected five 'Moduae Village Enterprises.'

Dobong-gu's 'Mokhwa Song-i Cooperative' received high evaluations for its efforts to realize village enterprise values, including ▲production of eco-friendly sewing products and support/donation activities for vulnerable groups ▲prioritizing hiring of village residents and vulnerable groups to create local jobs ▲activation of sales channels using social economy distribution stores within the region.

Dobong-gu has worked together to prepare for the evaluation, including drafting business plans and PPT presentations, to ensure that 'Mokhwa Song-i Cooperative' could be finally selected as a 'Moduae Village Enterprise.' Following this selection, 'Mokhwa Song-i Cooperative' will receive 100 million KRW in project funds to strengthen corporate competitiveness through promotion, marketing, and securing sales channels.

'Mokhwa Song-i Cooperative' is a social enterprise of middle-aged local women producing eco-friendly sewing products such as bags, aprons, household items, and hygiene products that can reduce disposable products. It began as Hansalim Workers in 2006, was newly designated as a village enterprise by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety in 2011, converted to a cooperative in 2013, certified as a social enterprise by the Ministry of Employment and Labor in 2017, and certified as an excellent social economy enterprise by Seoul City in 2018. It has been actively contributing to the local community as a representative village enterprise and social enterprise in Dobong-gu.

Mayor Dongjin Lee of Dobong-gu said, “Dobong-gu will continue to create a foundation for village enterprises rooted in the region, including Mokhwa Song-i Cooperative, to grow systematically and actively support their development so they can take a step forward as nationally recognized village enterprises.” Dobong-gu Autonomous Village Division and Social Economy Team
