On the 27th, Kim Seong-il, head of the Shenyang Office of North Korea's State Tourism Administration, attended the "Northeast Asia Cultural Tourism Industry Development Forum" held in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, China, and stated, "We welcome foreign companies investing in North Korea's tourism infrastructure," adding, "North Korea has taken active measures to guarantee a favorable investment environment."
Earlier, on the 23rd, North Korean Minister of Foreign Economic Relations Yoon Jeong-ho also revealed in a congratulatory letter at the China-Northeast Asia Expo held in Changchun, Jilin Province, that they are actively creating favorable conditions to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with countries around the world.
These remarks from the North are interpreted as a proactive move to foster an atmosphere for attracting foreign investment in preparation for the future lifting of border closures. Kim Seong-il introduced developments such as Baekdusan, Wonsan-Galma, and Kumgangsan, stating, "Since its founding, North Korea has regarded international travel as an important task for economic development and has pursued active travel industry development policies."
Officials from North Korea, China, South Korea, Japan, Russia, and other related parties attended the event.
