[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] As the Netflix original series 'Squid Game' gains popularity, a parody called 'Moon Jae-in Game,' satirizing President Moon Jae-in, has attracted attention. 'Squid Game' tells the story of participants in a survival game with a prize of 45.6 billion won who risk their lives to become the ultimate winner.

On the 27th, various online communities have been spreading a poster parodying 'Squid Game' called 'Moon Jae-in Game.' In the poster, President Moon is shown wearing the iconic teal tracksuit from Squid Game with a bright smile.

One netizen posted the poster with the following parody: △The first game is tax increase. Multi-homeowners who cannot endure are eliminated △The second game is raising house prices. Homeless people who cannot endure are eliminated △The third game is social distancing. Self-employed people who cannot endure are eliminated △The fourth game is price inflation. Ordinary citizens who cannot endure are eliminated. This appears to have been created to criticize President Moon’s various policies on the economy and real estate.

Along with this, the netizen concluded by saying, "The final game starts in March next year," which is interpreted as a remark targeting the presidential election to be held in March next year.

Meanwhile, another netizen criticized the Moon Jae-in administration by parodying scenes from 'Squid Game.' In particular, the scene where participants are given food was changed to a scene distributing disaster relief funds.

When a participant asked, "Why don’t I have disaster relief funds?" the host replied, "Because you belong to the top 12%." When the participant retorted, "Then how am I supposed to live?" the host said, "Instead, I will give you pride."

The participant then asked, "How much would that pride be worth in money?" and the host answered, "About 10,000 won."

Netizens who saw the parody responded critically, saying, "It’s too realistic. This is not satire; this is the current reality," "Citizens who cannot endure are eliminated," "The government needs deep reflection," and "I’m proud to be enduring in the 'Moon Jae-in Game.'"

On the other hand, some netizens responded with comments such as, "The satire is too excessive," "This parody has a strong political color," and "Isn’t this too blatant a criticism of the government?"
