Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority Signs Business Agreement to Revitalize Local Economy

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Cha Min-sik) announced on the 27th that it has signed a business agreement to support the modernization project of the Yeosu Dokkaebi Market facilities to revitalize the local economy amid COVID-19.

Dokkaebi Market, one of Yeosu City's traditional markets, has experienced a sharp decline in sales due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and aging facilities, exacerbating the economic and psychological difficulties of small business owners in the market.

Through this agreement, the authority expects to contribute to the revitalization of the local economy by sharing the difficulties of small business owners, increasing sales, and creating jobs by implementing practical local coexistence activities that local residents can feel.

Choi Yeon-cheol, Vice President (Head of Management Division) of the authority, said, "It is meaningful to be able to help small business owners in the market through this agreement," adding, "We will continue to strive to share difficulties together by practicing local coexistence that local residents can feel and to fulfill the social responsibility of public institutions."
