[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] The Ministry of Economy and Finance is beginning to prepare measures to respond to 'With Corona' as the economic control tower ministry.

On the 27th, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Hong Nam-ki held an expanded executive meeting at the Government Sejong Complex and instructed, "Organize the position of the economic ministries on the 'With Corona measures,' that is, the phased daily recovery plan."

Deputy Prime Minister Hong requested, "Please thoroughly investigate and study overseas cases that have taken measures first."

Since 70% of the entire population is expected to complete vaccination by next month, he asked to prepare the With Corona response plan in advance.

Considering that the small business loss compensation and mutual consumption support fund (credit card cashback) systems will start next month, Deputy Prime Minister Hong also urged to ensure thorough preparation for system guidance, resolving payment inconveniences, and prompt fund disbursement.

He said, "The fourth quarter is a very important period as a 'bridge quarter' to successfully conclude this year's economic management and establish next year's economic policy direction," and added, "Please carefully re-examine the economic situation and growth trajectory and begin the work to establish the 2022 economic policy direction, aiming for an announcement in late December."
