[Asia Economy Reporter La Young-cheol] Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province will introduce and operate the mobile app 'Bbaegi' from October 1st, which allows easy reporting and payment for large waste disposal.

According to the city on the 27th, the 'Bbaegi' app is a service that enables users to apply for collection and make payments all at once via their mobile phones without attaching a payment sticker when disposing of large waste.

By downloading the 'Bbaegi' app from the smartphone app 'Play Store (Android)' or 'App Store (iOS)', users can take a photo of the item to be disposed of and upload it to the app. The AI object recognition feature then estimates the cost, and after entering the collection location, users can make the payment.

Afterwards, a disposal number is automatically generated, and the disposal information is transmitted to the collection company in real time, allowing users to easily apply for large waste disposal without a separate payment sticker.

Used furniture and electronic products that can be recycled are also sold in connection with specialized used recycling centers within the region.

A paid waste pickup service called 'Naeryeodeurim' is also available for the elderly, women, and single-person households.

A city official stated, "Previously, the method for disposing of large waste was complicated, but with the introduction of the 'Bbaegi' app service, disposal has become simple and convenient."
