[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] The Gyeongsangnam-do Youth Instructor Association announced on the 27th that it held the ‘5th Gyeongnam Youth Instructor Day Ceremony’ via non-face-to-face live streaming at 2 p.m. on the 24th, with youth instructors participating.

The Gyeongnam Youth Instructor Day event is held annually on September 24 (meaning the age range of youth 9 to 24 according to the Youth Basic Act) to embody the aspiration to create a desirable youth growth environment, which is the calling of youth instructors, and to establish the status and rights of youth experts.

In particular, this ceremony gained more significance as it was co-hosted with the Gyeongsangnam-do Youth Support Foundation, bringing together youth instructors and youth counselors working in the youth sector.

The event started with a commemorative speech by Hong Soon-cheol, president of the Gyeongnam Youth Instructor Association, and a congratulatory address by Cha Yoon-jae, director of the Gyeongsangnam-do Youth Support Foundation, followed by an online quiz competition to learn about youth policies and culture.

In his commemorative speech, President Hong said, “This day is for youth instructors who are working hard in the field during an unprecedented period of change,” and added, “I hope that the association, related organizations, and those working in the youth sector will come together to raise the social status and rights of instructors in the future.”

In his congratulatory address, Director Cha said, “I sincerely congratulate the Gyeongsangnam-do Youth Instructor Day,” and encouraged, “Thanks to the youth instructors who are fulfilling their roles excellently in their respective positions, the healthy and bright growth of youth is expected to continue. The passage of the ordinance to improve the treatment of workers at youth facilities in the Gyeongnam region is also a great achievement made possible by your hard work.”
